First try...

Ninety something times. I lost track, started to stutter, and went off on some kind of weird literary fiction tangent that isn't totally thought out, but--it's something. The pressure to keep talking won out over my OCD urge to self-edit. I'll sound more intelligent as I get used to the camera.

I hope.

...and yeah. That's my closest. *sigh* I totally suck at moviemaker.

Cool! Much better than I'd do in front of a camera, even after the 90th try! Your interest and passion for your subject did come through. Practice with moviemaker will help too. I know it will feel weird, but you'll figure out between start/end and how close to clip the edit.

ok. going to try to go sleep again.

lol--I'll get it yet. "And" stop stressing over the side view of my chin. :)

This is good, Jodi. You're a teacher doing your thing. Like you said, you'll get more comfortable with it, but I wouldn't mind this class at all if I were in it. :o)

Possibly due to you blogging about this, probably just 'cause my son's been watching video blogs, I was trying to read some of my stuff for our little webcam. Lots to learn about it, still...

:) Deanna--this is probably the hardest thing I've ever done. Although I did realize I like my voice. And the brown sweater hoodie. I finally locked myself in my room and kept going, but you're right. Lots to learn about it. And my kid does the same thing. He made me watch the Frozen Food Master a couple of times before I did this. :)

You did really, really well for your 90th time. (Sorry, lol. I can imagine your frustration, but that's SOME perseverance 'tude you've got going for you.)

You were easy to follow, easy to hear, and made some good points to explain your reasoning. The "close" was a little abrupt (and amusing, I laugh at everything), but you'll have this editing thing down for sure one day soon. Maybe you could end your sessions with your name and a "thanks for listening"?

Applause, applause!

lol, Andi. Luckily I didn't swear a blue streak. *bowing* :) I'll get it yet. Maybe the next time, although I just realized I'm a little broke for a random hair cut. *sigh*

I'm so glad you posted this. I get a sense of who you are through your writing and your interaction with authors on Divas, but Kaige is right. Your passion really shines through in this video. I hope you keep at it.

You're the kind of teacher who could have motivated me to get an education. There should be more like you out there.

Thanks Hailey :) I'd love to teach, but after suffering--and yeah, it was suffering through ENG 101, I have the feeling the me who came out the other side wouldn't be the me I am now. I did put another syllabus in for continuing education, though. Maybe something will come of it. :)
