On the way to Canada

I'm not really a car person, but so far so good. I got to meet a lot of new people--and some old friends, see great scenery (so unreal...) and realize--yeah, well. I still have issues. Me and boats, we don't get along.

That thing swayed and jiggled like it was almost time for Jello. I went up on deck thinking it was going to be like the Seattle ferries. Up and down, down and up--side to side, all I could think of was how to get from the "sun deck" to the "I"m not going to throw up deck."

Five minutes of sitting very still later, my stomach settled down, but  I still felt queasy when I went outside to watch the islands go by. Guess I'm not as blase as I think.

You're coming to Canada and I won't see you!!! Are you going to Victoria?

Enjoy Canada!

Keep that horizon in sight! It always helps me. I'm fine in a rowboat or something under 10 feet, but once you get something big enough to go inside and I can't see that the world outside is still stable... look out.

Thanks, Deanna! I love my haircut. I feel so good in it. :)

I'll email you, MG. :)

lol, Kaige. I was staggering around like a drunk thinking I was way more tired than I thought and it turned out to be high winds. Glad my kid told me to get to the middle of the boat. :)
