The feeling fades...

Sometimes, everything clicks. My writing, my life. Everything and anything--the world revolves around me. It's my oyster and I'm the pearl. I tend to forget every pearl starts out as dirt.

I was reading my grammar manuals, studying examples of what to, and what not to do, and everything clicked, and I went, "OMG!!!" and ran to my computer. I wrote for HOURS. And it was all good.

It's like a window opened in my head and out came the story I'd wanted to tell, but didn't have the skills to put across. I should have stayed up, because it's gone again and I'm beating my head trying to get it back. I don't know what I did, how to find the latch. But once I figure it out...I'm gonna write it down.

I was going to say "you lucky schmuck" because I'm having a horrible day, but it looks like you're down in the pits with me. Tomorrow we'll both find the latch.

Oh my God!! This happens to me way too often, so I can relate! I hope it goes better for you today! :)

*nods* that's how it happens to me too. Lately, it's just been 1-2K here and there but sometimes I'll sit down and pound out 7K.
It's usually followed by a headache.
