A whirlwind of time...just escaping like air or something

It's weird. I'm tired. Not that I didn't expect to be tired. I mean--full-time job, part-time job, full-time school and three kids and what's commonly known as the "mom-job" AKA toilets, laundry and food. I was up-energy shortly after going on my low-histamine diet and became ravenously hungry. High protein and low carb do that to you. I lost weight and felt good, then one day the chocolate-carb monster came to visit bearing hives and I've been fighting ever since.

I miss chocolate.

I like chocolate. Not just good chocolate, but cheap Wal-Mart peanut butter cups and leftover Christmas candy. I have a bowl under my desk filled with sacks of Peanut Butter M and M's. There are chocolate covered marshmallows in the umbrella stand. IWANTMYCHOCOLATEBACK!!! *wah*

It's a sad horrible day where I can't sit around writing and sucking down peanut butter cups. I can tell how many pages I've written by the way my jeans fit. The more I write, the fatter I get. This whole weight loss thing is wrecking havoc on my page count. Writing isn't the same when you're chewing your way through a Golden Delicious.

As I wean myself off antihistamines, I've been getting the dropsy's. I crash at a moments notice. Lack of caffeine, probably. I haven't had any in two weeks.

Time is escaping like wind. Whenever I try to grab it, it slips through my fingers. I finally got a grip yesterday. I need structure. Chocolate. And some way to Velcro my butt to the chair.

I had to give up chocolate years ago and you're making me crave it again. No fair.

For me, the trick is to stay away from the manga. I get so much more done if I can just keep away from the stuff.

Hmm - my sweet tooth was always under control until I changed my diet - I think when I took out all the salt and fried stuff my body wanted to supplement with the sweet. I tried to substitute with grapes and other yummy sweet fruit but it doesn't really work well - thus the Jumbo Snickers bar waiting for me after I finish my healthy lunch salad & apple juice!

I'll be right there, Alice. And hi, welcome to my blog, Molly. (yes, I'm one of those links followers) It's a pleasure to meet you. :)

I mourn for you those hours taken up by school. Writing needs time, but you know that, and of course you're doing something way practical. I'd be tempted to eat everything bad just to keep going, but in the long run that doesn't help much.

For me, the best part of glutenfreeism is chocolate doesn't require gluten. Not trying to push it or anything...

PS. I joined an online crit group at the Internet Writers Workshop (internetwritersworkshop.blogspot.com), and it's very well done, with different email lists for different categories (including romance). Not that you need one more thing, but maybe check it out in the future. :o)

hmmm...thank you, Deanna. I'll check it out. One more thing is always good if it's one more interesting thing. I find I procrastinate before homework anyway, sort of to ease my way into it. So...yes, and thank you.

I bow down to your willpowerness. Go, Yodi, go.

(I don't know if I could ever give up chocolate, though. Or coffee.)

(I'm sure I couldn't have a full time job, a part-time job, AND go to school...not to mention the other stuff.)

Uh, yeah. Go, Yodi, go.
