For the New Year, I promise to...

...eat healthy food. Not because I want to, but because I stuck myself on a histamine restricted diet, and my body thanks me. No or few hives, no headaches (that was a shocker) no lightheadedness and best of all--the fog has lifted. I can think again!

Good and bad in it's own way. Good because I hadn't realized how much of my brain wasn't working. Bad because everything is in focus and, right--I can think again. Not always a good thing. For awhile I was kicked back watching the Food Network, going to sleep with the rest of the world and getting to work on time. Now I'm back to two hour nights, five minute rush entrances and trying to explain direct deposit in broken Spanish.

I have learned to say "cold", and "my daughter wants something", (which she always does) and egg/chicken/fish/mushrooms. I've also loaded the 10 key program on my computer. That was scary.

I don't look forward to eating, but since my current diet is an apple for breakfast (they're hypoallergenic), two leaves of lettuce, a piece of boneless chicken breast, a slice of tomato and a piece of cantaloupe for lunch, and a bowl of rice (by then I'm starved!) and a small piece of meat for dinner--its not making me real enthusiastic.

so for my resolution? I promise to stick to my diet (unless I'm testing for tolerance), learn more Spanish, and get straight A's in school. And sometime this year, I will figure out how to use the GPS in my phone.

Good luck on your elmination diet. Speaking of The Fog, I am in it, today. I just posted my Friday feature on my blog, and looked up and saw it was Thursday. Happy menopause...I mean, Happy New Year.

It's wonderful when the brain works as it should. Hope you get to eat more food soon. In the meantime, I'll eat chocolate in your name.

Happy New Year. My resolution is to read Hot Contract, if I can get it away from Rick, it came in the mail yesterday:)

Mochi sounds good. Cleaning the bathroom doesn't, but mine really needs it...

I hope your allergy/food issues resolve themselves in a tasty way, somehow. I've found many good points about going gluten free - feeling better's definitely the best.

Happy New Year!

damnit, Merry--if you had told me you wanted it, I would have sent you one. The thought of Rick reading my stuff is....as Anna Genoese would say, it can't be textually expressed. OMG

Thats a good reaction. OMG

Thank you, Liana. I'd like someone to enjoy chocolate. :)

*sigh* Deanna, gluten free and preservative free and dairy free and it's pretty much just the Atkins diet with occasional fatty foods. I'm loosing weight. That's always good.

Ten key? The only ten key I can think of is a calculator.

I don't envy your diet, just the weight loss. My dh has stopped encouraging me to diet. I get too crabby.

So the gluttony of New Year's hasn't touched you? We're not happy around here unless excess has been exceeded.
Don't get carried away with the hamster food, someone is going to adopt you and make you run a wheel.

Wow, I'm hungry right now and wondering what to make for dinner, so I feel a bunch of sympathy for your two-lettuce, white chicken and tomato diet.

Which sounds really good at the moment...

Good luck with your resolutions. I know you can do it!

Wow!!! Where did you hear about this diet? Because I have hives too and I'm pretty sure it's because of the crap I eat.
Jeez, you didn't NEED to lose weight!!!!!
Thanks for the help on Eye of the Storm btw. It has really opened up some vistas.
Great goals.

Seems to me you ought to be able to eat as much lettuce as you want.

Glad you've found a solution for the hives, even if rather drastic. Hopefully, you'll be able to gradually find more things that you can eat and help alleviate the boredom with what you're eating.

I picked up a print copy of Hot Contract too. Merry Christmas to me and you. ;)

Your brain working full speed scares me.
I won't tell you what I had for breakfast, but I feel as if I was fed by zoo keepers.

no, Jeanna, Kaige's brain working at full speed scares me. She's way smarter. I'm just a different way of looking at things. Wow, you picked up a print copy? Thanks Kaige. The next one will be better. Wait and see.
