So I pried Cowboy, off the tire spikes. Y'know--it was his fault for going in the out road. We went up to the mountains, and it was great--all snow and pine trees, and frozen lakes. We stopped at Rosalyn, because he wanted to get a picture of Rosalyn's Cafe, and check out Joel Fleischman's office. I have no clue where the pictures are--he probably deleted them from the chip as he took them off, so I'll have to wait until he emails them to me.
The kids had to work, and no one else wanted to come, so it was just the two of us--troubleshooting DG and stopping on the roadside (BIG trucks up there, lol) to take pictures.
Later that evening, he went into the city...
...and got skunked.
I got lost--no clue how I ended up going twenty miles in the other direction. But at two am--I really didn't care. It's dark out there--and I was tired. He tried to get a ride back, but I guess no one wanted to stop.
Lucky for him, I found my exit and got back on I-5. I think next time, he's going to have to take a designated driver--

The kids got jobs already? Did he get skunked at Pacman too? He sure does see a lot of asphalt.
I've had nights like that. Not in the last fifteen years, but I still remember them cl... um well, not clearly but clearly enough.
lol, Jeanna!! Yeah--I guess he does see a lot of asphalt, from really really close up. And my kids are working kind of people--not that they like to work. But anyway...
...and yes, he lost at Pac-man, drank lots of grasshoppers because "some girl" told him to, and got thrown out when him and my kid tried to convince the bartenders they needed "to-go" cups.
Alice, thank God--I don't get drunk and roll around on the road anymore. Who would drive?
Ohmigawd! Pac Man! I used to drive myself crazy with that game.
Seems like Cowboy had an action-packed visit, lol.
(Big guffaw at Alice's comment.)
Back before "designated drivers" I did both the drinking and the driving. I was one of those who went real, real slow.
at two in the morning, in the dark--on unfamiliar streets, I go real slow too. Some people go real fast and fall off the road. Too bad, they're hundreds of feet up in the air.
